The first thing Americans need to do in order to reduce their health care costs is to ensure that their diets only comprise of high quality foods. It is a known fact that health is found in good nutrition from the foods that we eat. We should avoid the nutritionally depleted foods that are factory farm-produced in starved soils and via harmful farming methods. These nutritionally depleted foods also tend to be made with a lot of pesticides or from genetically modified seeds. The only way Americans can aim to reduce their health care costs is by only indulging in clean nutritious diets.
It is noteworthy that when American household diets comprised of unprocessed whole foods grown and produced on family farms, the rates of diseases were significantly less than today, and the costs of health care were also a fraction of their current levels. Americans can directly reduce their costs of health care by only buying high quality whole foods which are organically grown on the local smaller farms or even in their own back yards.
Another way to reduce the costs of health care would be by making health promoting food available for everyone. The access to nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables is important in ensuring good health across the population, as well as cutting down on the costs of healthcare. What this essentially means is that all American people must be paid salaries that enable them to afford health promoting foods. Low wages will result in households living off cheap processed carbohydrates with low or no nutritional value as they cannot afford anything better. Expectedly, this then leads to the need for health insurance and rising health care costs.
Another way to ensure the reduction of the costs of health care is by ensuring that all Americans have access to clean, safe water, which also a basic human right. The water we drink must not therefore be contaminated with fluoride or any other harmful contaminants.
